Mondelēz International (Cadbury) have pledged to partner with the Glenorchy Jobs Hub on Tuesday, 7 February 2023.

Through this pledge, Mondelēz committed to support the Glenorchy Jobs Hub and local job seekers by providing information sessions, training programs, and employment opportunities.

The Glenorchy Jobs Hub now has fifteen pledging partners who have expressed support for the program and local job seekers. Through these partnerships, local job seekers have been provided with the skills and knowledge to find employment, with several finding employment directly through these partnerships.

Glenorchy City Mayor Bec Thomas is pleased with Mondelez’s pledge, along with the countless roles Mondelez has provided the Glenorchy community.

“I am so pleased to see Mondelez signing this pledge. We know the Cadbury factory in Claremont has a long history of providing jobs for the people of Glenorchy and has been doing so since 1921. It is brilliant to see Mondelez international re-affirming this commitment today,” – said Ms Thomas.

“Partner organisations pledging to Glenorchy’s Jobs Hub make a difference and positively impact our community. Pledge partner’s attendance at events such as workshops and the Jobs Hub’s upcoming Jobs Fair helps to achieve the Hub’s main mission of connecting local people to local jobs.”

Mondelēz International, Plant People Lead Benjamin Singline is delighted to be partnering with the Hub, and the career pathways this will open for local job seekers.

“We are delighted to begin our partnership with the Glenorchy Jobs Hub by signing our pledge. Mondelēz International is enormously proud that our iconic Cadbury brand has been an integral part of the greater Glenorchy community for one hundred years. We have employed thousands of local people from our community during this time, and we look forward to partnering with the Hub to continue providing more career pathways for local people for years to come,” said Mr Singline.

The Glenorchy Jobs Hub is part of the Tasmanian Government’s Regional Jobs Hub Network, connecting local people with local jobs in the municipality of Glenorchy. With a community focus and commitment to helping job seekers and local employers. The Glenorchy Jobs Hub is supported by Jobs Tasmania, Glenorchy City Council, and STEPS Group Australia.
