JHG are working with employers in the Glenorchy Area who are eager to learn, hands-on, and excited about building and construction who may be interested in a career as a bricklayer.

Your Mission:

  • Learn the art of bricklaying by assisting experienced tradespeople in various construction projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and cleaning of construction sites.
  • Carry and handle bricks, mortar, and other construction materials.
  • Assist with measuring and setting up the layout of buildings or structures.
  • Mix and apply mortar to ensure proper bonding of bricks.
  • Lay bricks and blocks according to specifications, patterns, and building codes.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Work towards your nationally-recognised Certificate III qualification to obtain your trade certificate

Our Requirements:

  • Physically fit, self-disciplined, and have attention to detail
  • Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A current Drivers’ Licence, and have your own reliable transport
  • A White Card or the ability to obtain one ASAP
