Support Roles with Anglicare

Job Seekers wanting to enter the support sector now have more opportunities, thanks a new partnership between Glenorchy Jobs Hub and Anglicare Tasmania.

Anglicare commits to reducing unemployment by working with Glenorchy Job Hub to source suitable candidates for roles, attending and running information sessions for students and jobs seekers and working with registered training organisations.

Glenorchy City Mayor Bec Thomas is thrilled about the partnership and views these collaborations as a win-win for both local job seekers and businesses.

“It is fantastic to see the continued success of the Glenorchy Jobs Hub,” said Ms Thomas.

“Since opening it has had a positive impact for businesses and Job seekers alike. It has been wonderful seeing businesses pledge their commitment to provide opportunities to our local job seekers and we are thrilled to have Anglicare on board as a significant employer in our municipality.”

Anglicare CEO Chris Jones also looks forward to the partnership with the local service and the new job placements soon to come.

“Anglicare Tasmania is excited to be working with the Glenorchy Jobs Hub and has already successfully connected with local jobseekers through jobs fairs,” said Chris.

“There is high demand for support workers to work with older Tasmanians. We have a state-wide team who support older people to remain living independently in their own homes. Anglicare is always keen to identify, train and support the right people – those who want to make a career out of caring,” said Chris.
