
About the 2026 Expo
The Hobart and Southern Tasmania Employment & Careers Expo is the premier Tasmanian careers and employment event. We are a free event promoting employment, training, support services and career pathways across the greater Southern Tasmania region.
The event will be held at Mystate Bank Arena on Tuesday 24th March 2026 between 10am-4pm

There will be plenty of parking available on site, with additional transport options available.
Additionally, our partners at Area Connect will have a FREE shuttle bus to the arena from the Glenorchy Bus Mall. To discuss the shuttle or any additional transport options please contact the team at Area Connect.

The Hobart and Southern Tasmania Employment & Careers Expo is a child-safe event, proudly operating under the Glenorchy City Council’s Child Safe Framework. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all young people. Our team, exhibitors, and partners share this commitment and uphold the standards outlined in the Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.
To help make the Expo welcoming for everyone, a Sensory Hour will run from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, offering a calmer environment with reduced noise and activity levels. This hour is designed for visitors who may benefit from a quieter experience, including neurodivergent attendees and those who prefer smaller crowds.
The venue is fully accessible for visitors with disability or mobility needs, with accessible parking, restrooms, and flat entry points throughout the site. If you or someone in your group requires additional support or adjustments, our team will be happy to assist on the day.
We’re committed to ensuring every visitor feels safe, supported, and included because meaningful career opportunities should be accessible to all.

Absolutely not! The Expo is open to everyone—students, jobseekers, career changers, parents returning to work, and anyone exploring new opportunities.
Do I need to register to attend?
No registration is needed for visitors. Entry is free and open to the public—just come along on the day.Can I talk directly to employers?
Yes! In fact it's encouraged! Exhibitors are ready to chat about real job opportunities, apprenticeships, training programs, and career pathways - come prepared with your questions!
Will there be help with resumes or interviews?
Yes. You can access free resume advice, interview practice sessions, and guidance from employment specialists throughout the event.
Is there parking or public transport nearby?
Yes. Free parking is available at the venue, and it’s easily accessible by public transport from central Hobart and surrounding suburbs.
Can schools bring students?
Absolutely. School groups are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please contact the organising team to discuss scheduling options to ensure the best experience for your students.

The Hobart and Southern Tasmania Employment & Careers Expo is grateful to our amazing partners at Area Connect who are generously providing a FREE shuttle service to the expo between 10am and 2pm on event day. Below is the timetable for the shuttle between the Glenorchy Bus Mall (Stop J) and MystateBank Arena
