From Preparation to Possibility: Aruni Begins Her Planning Career

When Aruni connected with Glenorchy Jobs Hub, she had already taken an important step forward — securing an interview opportunity with a northern Tasmanian council in the planning field she had worked hard to study at university.

Wanting to make the most of the opportunity, Aruni met with Erin to focus on interview preparation. Together, they explored the types of questions she might be asked, how to structure clear and confident responses, and what employers are often looking for during the interview process. The session provided practical strategies and a chance for Aruni to consolidate her approach ahead of the interview.

Aruni approached her interview feeling prepared and confident. She later shared that she even found herself practising her responses on the drive there.

Not long after, Aruni received the news she had been hoping for: she was offered the role!

This opportunity marks the beginning of her professional career in planning and will see her relocating to the north of the state. It’s a significant milestone following years of study and dedication to her chosen field.
