About the role:

We’re always looking for candidates who are keen and interested in exploring opportunities as Bus Drivers in the Greater Hobart and surrounding areas. JHG have partnered with a number of operators to find and upskill people interested in becoming Bus Drivers across the city and surrounds.

We also welcome candidates who don’t yet have their MR license but are willing to gain their qualification and license in this space.

To succeed in this role, you will have or are able to obtain

• A current Medium Rigid (MR) driving license (or above) (Essential)

• A Tasmanian Public Passenger Vehicle license or ability to acquire one

• A Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card or ability to acquire one

• Fantastic customer service skills

• A high regard for safety

• Excellent time management skills

• Sound literacy and numeracy skills

• A willingness to undertake training and assessments

• Heavy vehicle driving experience (highly regarded)

Key duties

• Providing excellent customer service

• Perform non driving office-based duties

• cash handling and usage of electronic ticketing systems

• Transporting passengers safely, professionally and on time

• Operating busses across the Greater Hobart, Northern Suburbs and Derwent Valley areas

• Providing updates to customers and other operators as needed
